Etymology
The word Apologetics derived from the Greek word ‘apologia’ (απολογια), which basically means ‘defense’. This word has been used to describe one’s formal justification in the court of law. Thus, Apologetics have nothing to do with admission of error or discourtesy accompanied by an expression of regret [1].
